Troop 101 was recognized by State House Representative Tim Moore for their amazing job collecting food donations for the needy of Clevelan County. On Saturday, November 21 the scouts went into the neighborrhoods and collected two F350 pickup trucks of food which weighed in at 4244 lbs of food that was donated to the Masters House a home for men who are working through tough times in their lives. Troop 101 was recognized for helping a local men's shelter, The Masters House on Saturday July 25, 2009. Troop 101 has been a partner with David Pearcy and the Masters House for the last three years supplying the house with non-parishable food gathered from the Scouting for Food Drive in November of each year. The food donated helps support the house and free's up funds for the men of the house suppling them with clothing and other essentials. Last year alone Troop 101 donated over 3000lbs of food to the Masters House. We look forward to each November where we can once again help out David Pearcy and our friends at the Masters House.
